A Life On Facebook

Today I showed everyone a YouTube video titled "A Life on Facebook." It was created by CG artist Maxime Luère and follows the life of Alex Droner from teenage years through his life and ultimately his death. I thought it was really neat because many people do not realize how much of their actual lives are projected onto Facebook, but if you were to stalk someone long enough, you could essentially know their life story.

A similar thing that I’ve noticed on Facebook is people that will compile a slideshow of images of their face for a certain period of time (sometimes several years) in order to see how they’ve changed. This also shows how much about a person you can learn just from their facebook page. Also, it’s pretty interesting to see what people have come up with to display their life to the world through social media. If I had the time, it’d be cool to see how I’ve changed as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqDjHomfx-w --> copy and paste this URL into your browser to see what I mean. This was originally on Facebook however, not YouTube. But just in looking for this one original video, I found several other videos in which other people have done the same. It’s catching on!
