After reading about servers, I was suddenly reminded of a short story I read this summer by Cory Doctorow (of BoingBoing fame). "When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth" is a really amusing short story first published online and later in his collection Overclocked, and is essentially about the apocalypse seen through the eyes of system administrators. Good stuff in any of you need a break from homework!
